Default skipping songs we used to sing 20 yrs ago.

Help please, this week I gave the kiddies a long piece of rope to skip with, you know the sort with a turner at each end. Well the kids love it and are getting quite good at running in jumping and then running out again and then joining the queue again. I remember playing for hours as a child but I can't remember the songs we used to sing while we skipped. I want to encourage them and I'm hoping someone out there can help me.

Teddy Bear teddy bear turn off the light
Tedyd bear teddy bear say goodnight

I'm sure there was more to it than that!

    Also-
Blue bells cockle shells evy ivy OVER
(just swing rope side to side till you say over)
    then-
how many boys did you kiss last night 1,2,3,4,5 etc..
If there is many children playing then one child jumps in then out with each number.. if you don't stop the rope then when you jump out you go back and join the queue to go again. last one left wins!

We used to this but after evy ivy over it was...

mother's in the kitchen, doing a bit of stitching
how many stitches can she do! 12345 etc but we did it with one child with the counting bit really fast until they were out.

    Like your version though
