    Default birdfeeders/raincatchers (handmade)

i want to make birdfeeders and raincatchers from plastic bottles with the children and have everything needed but what have you used to decorate the bottles? i dont want the children to get upset if it all falls off/runs off after a few days!

permenant markers should do the trick? my home made bird feeders are just left plain and hidden in a tree so didn't decorate them. The raincatchers you could decorate with coloured marker pens - or just draw the measuring marks on the outside. If you wanted some colour you could always put a few drops of food colouring in the rain catcher so the water tints and each child could have different coloured rain water - tie it into rainbows maybe?
triangle sandwiches are better than square ones...

I used acrylic paints to paint plastic bottles for raincatchers, they look lovely. You just have to be careful that they dont get it on their clothes.
