Default What is the minimum time you charge for?

Hello, just wondering what the minimum time you childmind any one child for. Reason I ask, I've had an enquiry about minding a 20 month old for a couple of hours a day. Mum is bringing him to meet me tomorrow and I'm wondering how I can persuade her to let me look after him for a little bit longer i.e a whole morning. She wants him to socialise more with other children of a similar age but is desperate for him not to become too clingy (he's the youngest of three with a big gap). She didn't seem that interested when I told of the sorts of activities I would do, moreso in the fact that she'd get some time to do her housework!!!
    Bizarre.

I have a 4 hour minimum at a higher hourly rate -or it's not worth the effort of paperwork etc.
if you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got

For my before and after schoolers, I have a min 2hr session per day.
For my EYFS children I charge by the session.
    Sessions being; Morning = 8am - 1pm and afternoon = 1pm - 6pm.

That way if a parent just wants for example 10am - 12pm then they pay the whole morning session.
I explain to parents its because filling odd hours here and there is very difficult and therefore I need to split into sessions.

I've never had anyone complain yet.
