    Default The perfect quandary?

    Hello all!

First day back and parent of after schooler has asked me if i have a vacancy for her 3 yr old for convenience of having both the children in the same childcare provision.

To most CM's it's perfect - I have one vacancy left and she wants full time 8-6pm mon-fri. But i'm not sure....

I remember at interview her saying he was a handful. I'm not sure I'm cut out for full timers! It also means i wouldn't be able to have my two ad-hoc mindees who i LOVE having and also an ex-mindees younger sibling is pencilled in for next year which i would have to turn down.

On the other hand money would be amazing!

    What would you do?

Don't worry about the other 2 adhoc - go for continuity of care cover - look at the handful (I am sure you can sort this out)

    Go for it

Business wise I'd have to go for it - continuity of money rather than ad-hoc or possible future mindees. Anything can happen in a year and you may still have room for the other baby.

Could you get a variation for your ad hocs?

I always put the children I have already first... a bird in the hand and all that.

    Good luck with your decision
