I bought these as soon as a saw them advertised (Argos £7.99) It has been a total success.

It has been a train, a pram, filled with books and pulled along, filled with plastic lizards and pulled along and of course they can just sit colouring in the cardboard box too, decorating their wagon.

Another thing that struck me was... A friend of mine was inspected last week and pulled up on not 'recycling' enough. Now I must admit I am a horder or yogurt pots, cereal boxes and loo rolls for crafts etc.. anyway, but I thought this toy was an excellent example of recycling day to day.

Oooh that's reminded me of a large construction kit I have in the loft which has big wheels....wonder if I could do something similar with it.

Not that I don't believe in recycling BUT I don't think it's within an inspector's remit to comment on whether or not we recycle enough!

And who's definition of 'enough'? Some inspector's are so picky!!

    Exactly!

I feel quite sorry for her because at the moment she is berating herself for using glue sticks during her inspection instead of pouring PVA into used yogurt pots.

Her inspector also asked if she had covered 'recycling' as a theme with her LO's - This inspector clearly had a bee in her bonnet

Gosh what will the inspectors come out with next?! Maybe they'll have a look in our bins to see what we do throw out?! What a strange thing to say! I have done junk modelling, crafts using recycled things, played with boxes, blankets, etc but it's not like you do everything in the couple of hours they are here is it?!
