I use the Morton Michel attendance records - there's room for 6 children per week per sheet which I found easier than having a sheet for each child.

I actually made my own. I found the NCMA too confusing especially when I pick up/drop off at different locations. The inspector was quite impressed that I did my own specifically aimed at the children I mind (two sets of siblings).

Mine didn't take long to do (although I have a comb binder) but you coudl do one yourself on excel and put it into a ring binder.

    Mine works really well.

Edited to say: am happy to share if anyone is interested

I use a diary where I also note payments and also expenses I have incurred. Works well for me.

i use the ncma one, and was a bit gutted at having to start a new one this month, ( i start a new one each april ) but as children are leaving me (and i won't then be minding until i start again, having moved at some point!) i will only use a few pages ...

i filled it all in, getting confused that the front pages were now blue ... and then realised that the attandance pages were white, and i could have just copied one a few times to put in my old book, but i had already filled out all the contact details pages ARGHHHHHH! ( and i'm a bit obsessive, i like it to be REALLY NEAT so can't just cross it out and carry on! ARGH! )

I thought each child had to have their own page for confidentality? My parents sign the register once a week so i would be happy with several children on the same page.

I have used them for 16yrs with no problems. If I have a lot of children on the books I use post it file markers with the childs initials on to mark their page.

Oh what a pain. You should have asked earlier one of us could have sent you some photocopied pages to use. I do this and may have to use a few for the end of the year due to changing children.

I made my own. 1 A5 page per week with all children on it. Don't get parents to sign so no problem with them all being on the same page

I print off a signing in and out sheet and have one per week. These are then all put together using my binding machine. This has been fine with Ofsted for my last two inspections as it is a record of when they attend and the actual times like a register all children are on one sheet.

I actually also have now a register (again I do my own)for each child again but this is purely because I leave the children occasionally with my hubby so i need to record when he has been left in sole charge if that makes sense.

oooh been thinking of doing this so I don't have so many books for everything. Can I use a diary with names time in/out out goings and payments?

    Would be so much easier!

Here's one I did....the reason I did it this way was because I had siblings who I picked up/dropped off at different locations.

    Hope this helps someone.
