Signing Off

How do you sign off letters to parents, yours sincerely, faithfully , best wishes, regards?

I usually put "Thank you" and then underneath, Yours Sincerely,

I would say it depends on the contents of the letter and how formal it is. If it is formal and you know there name as Dear xxxxx then you sign it sincerely, if its dear sir or madam then its Faithfully. If it something informal then I dont suppose it matters too much so I would go with 'many thanks'.

i always address the letter to the parents and then put

Dear Parent/Guardian,

blah blah blah
blah blah
BLAH

Yours faithfully,

my name and signature

Same as Mollypop, always Yours Sincerely.

However well I get to know the parents, I always put things in writing and letters are kept quite "business-like".

Generally either Yours sincerely if i am confirming something they have asked for etc or Many thanks if it is me asking for something.

Not that Ive done this yet

But I would sign off with either "Kind regards" or "regards". I know we're professional and a business but I think its a bit more friendly.

Ive been a PA for years ands its now equally acceptable to sign off with the 'softer' sign offs of Kind regards/regards etc. if you're addressing it personally, as it is to use the traditional sign offs.
