    That is a good point about the honey as i remember they say not to give honey to any child under 1.

    Yes 1 is still the recommended age for honey.

    Thanks for this I heard about it on an Irish news programme while in a shop in Dublin so missed most of what they had to say so needed to find out. Also please remind me why 1 year for honey I cant remember the reasoning behind it.

    Not sure as it is in my Annabel Karmel book i think downstairs but think it has to do with botulism but not sure on that

    However DO NOT give honey to a very young child, say; a year or under, it can give them botulism.

    Thanks for that don't think I ever knew that prob just told by health visitor when pregnant with my son so just kept the information until daughter was 1 and then forgot about it as I am not a great fan of honey and don't buy it often.
