Default Will it stay the same?

Good evening everyone, I have just found out that one of my mums is pregnant I currently look after her 2 school age boys, anyway she said that when baby is born and she goes on maternity leave she still would like our childcare arrangements to stay the same even though she will be on leave, which is fine by me but her question was that would tax credits still pay her the same for childcare even though she is on maternity leave?????
I said I didn't know but would try and find out...... do any of you wonderful people know???
    Thank you x x x
