    Default single buggy/laminate flooring

Hi, Can you recommend a single buggy for me. My mindee has kindly broken the foot rest and the wheels are very worn after a year. My last one was only a cheapish Bruin one. I dont like the ones with the straps to hold the seat up. If you understand me. I've just agreed to have a 6 month old 3 days a week so it needs to be fine for her.
Also i have laminate flooring which gets cold and is hard. Can you suggest anything to put down other then play mat for 6 month old? I'm in a bit of a panic as she starts on Mon. I haven't had anyone this young since my son and everything is put away as i only mindee is nearly 3 and my son is 4. So i need to get it all out again.

    Thank you.
    Louise.

You can get those foam mats that kind of click together? We have them at the mums and tots I go to as it's in a school hall, the floor is really hard and just a blanket or playmat isn't enough.

Oh, I think buggies are a very personal thing, we all have different likes and dislikes, car sizes and walking distances etc - so it really just depends.

On my laminate I have the Ikea road mat which has a non slip back and is also machine washable. It's great with a play mat ontop too

I got some click together foam mats in bright colours from B&Q for £12 in the summer. I also saw some black ones in their builders section.

Thanks. I don't have a home base near me. I might give elc a ring and see if they can check if they have any out the back. If not i might use something else for the under the play gym and order the abc ones for tescos. I have ordered a chicco buggy from kiddicare. If its the sameone my friend got reduced awhile back it will be fine.

    Hi

Have you tried Home Bargains they mats that I think are for yoga. They are only about £3 i think. My girls have them for doing gym practice on but would be great for playroom. Roll up so can be store easily as well.

I got the Asda ones in the summer too. I use them when I have my friends foster baby although he is getting more mobile now so doesnt stay on them!! I also like to put the dolls house or Little People sets on them, as it gives them a designated place iyswim.

You can usually buy the alphabet ones all year round, but not sure if older ones will keep taking the letters out?

    Mothercare have some:

I had mine from Tesco for £4, but that also was in the summer. Have you tried Argos? Im sure ELC will have some, if not they will locate a store for you that has some in.

Good luck with your new mindee

Thank you. Im going to have a good look today for some and some other bits. I saw her last night for a bit and she is such a happy girl. She is coming in sec to stay for a bit. My ds is all excited and has put all the toys out so he can show her how they work.Bless. I normally wouldn't do a Sat but as it was only agreed on wed night and Mum needed me to start on Mon i didn't mind.
