i got my 'who minds' yesterday - and was absolutely disgusted to read that Cm's were allowed to smack kids until 2003!!!!! what kind of country do we live in where you have to legislate NOT to smack a small child?!? ?

My mum used to tell our childminders to smack us if we were naughty.

Its interesting, I think, how poorly this country values its children. Yeah - we are better than most - but we still have a hell of a way to go.
