    Hello and welcome!

Working with parents to assess their requirements means considering everything you do and all the questions you ask parents when the child starts with you to make sure you know exactly what they expect from you... so you will find out what the child's home routine is and try and copy it as much as possible... you will find out what the child's special words or family phrases are and use them to make the child feel supported ... etc.

It's also about an ongoing dialogue between you and the family, so they feel they can approach you about things and you share their child's day with them and encourage them to comment and input into what you do.
