    Default Weekly Timetable

how many of you have a weekly timetable?

for things that don't change i.e toddler groups, library??

is it worthwhile having one or not??

I tried to set one when I first started but it soon fell by the wayside as I now just go with the flow. Wait and see what mood the kids are in, what the weathers like etc and take it from there.

The only timescale we stick to is the school and nursery run every day

I have one that goes in my Obs and Assess Book to show parents and Ofsted

It just has 7.156 - 8.45 breakfast club
    8.45 school. run
9.00 nursery run and roughly goes through the day

I then show how this relates to EYFS on my obs form and I don't have to do anything else with it again

I have one but I have put underneath it that it will change according to the needs of the children etc. This EYFS requires you to have short term, medium and long term planning doesn't it?!?

Absolutely! Well short and long term anyway... not sure it mentions much about medium term.

But it does not tell us how to do the planning... and well all do things in different ways

Does anyone have one they wouldn't mind sharing? Im just thinking about time at home, how much detail to go into. Do you just put play as what you do each day will vary and will be covered on the detailed planning sheet?

I have just listed a daily routine with no times which goes

    Morning
    Free play, TV, breakfast
    Drop off at School
    Drop off at Preschool/Preschool
    Toddler groups, Park, Library
    Free play at home
    Snack
    Morning naps if needed

    Lunch time
    Pick up from preschools
    Lunch

    Afternoon
    Free play at home
    Craft/organised play activity
    Snacks
    Afternoon naps if needed
    Outdoor play
    Toddler Groups, Library
    Pick up from School

    After school
    Snack
    Free play
    Organised craft activity
    Outdoor Play

Then I have listed the toddler Groups and said we may go to some of these but we may not.
    Monday am, Toddlers
    Tuesday am, Toddlers
Tuesday pm, Storytime library and so on,

I have a one which says what groups we goto & on what days, but again its not always stuck to as it depends on how the children are.

I have one but don't really stick too closely to it as I go with what the children want/need a lot of the time.
