Is it compulsory to have a carbon monoxide detector?
Is it compulsory to have a carbon monoxide detector?
Not as far as I know but they are a good thing to have for your own safety too.

Not sure about a carbon monoxide detector but on my ICP course we were told that you must have proof that you have your boiler serviced regularly, which has reminded me that I must get mine done!

here in Wales we have to have our boiler serviced annually
we do a carbon monoxide detector but don't think it compulsory

I have two, one by my boiler, another in the playroom where the kids sleep. Hubby got them from work - extra cautious. The inspector mentioned them, saying they were a good idea. They are not compulsory though.

We've got one too, but its just to be on the safe side, Lloyds chemists are doing them at half price at the moment (down here at least...)
We have them, have done for years.

I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand
I've got 2, think they are well worth it, they do save lives.

Friends hubby work for british gas says every home should have one cos you wont know there's a problem til it's too late, says you dont need expensive one.
Ofsted were impressed I had one
***** proofed the house but they're still getting in!
I will probably get one then, even tho my boiler is serviced every year.
We've had one for years no mention of it on my inspection.

its only compulsary if you do overnight care i was told last week.
It's not compulsory but since my mother in law nearly died this summer from a faulty gas boiler we've had one, it's not worth the risk.
