I only use one if I think a child needs I and would benefit from it.

I had a child who was autistic and I used one with her. I have also used them when children have been struggling to settle. Just something very simple to show what we would be doing through the day (play, lunch, sleep, play, home) and so they could see that there was a home time at the end of the day!

When I think of the children I have now, I don't think any of them would benefit from having a visual timetable. The older ones know the routine and understand when I tell them what we're going to be doing. The younger ones just go with the flow!
