Default Do we need to see birth certificate?

    Morning!

Now that I am about to start minding again be prepared for millions of questions coming your way!

When filling out the contract do we need to see proof of date of birth or can we take parents word for it and trust that they are telling the truth? I have no reason to doubt anyone but I seem to remember seeing it written down somewhere that we needed proof...

    Thanks

No, we do not need to see birth certificate. It may be needed for claiming Gov 2/3/4yr funding though- that would be a local authority requirement.
