    Default Monday again!

Can’t believe how quickly the weekends go. Good morning everyone,
I hope you all have a good week and the weather brightens up.Today we’re making flour.. have collected some wheat, all that’s needed is children pestle and mortar.

    Have a great day.

    Morning!

Have a good week everyone ... I'm 'off' so of course the cats woke me up at 6am !!!! And now I can't get back to sleep.

    Miserable day here today.

Flour making sounds fun. Enjoy Dragonfly xx

What does anyone think about the people returning from Spain having to quarantine? I heard 2 chaps saying that Spain was doing the mask/antibac gel/spraying much better than London, so they didn't see why they would need to quarantine when they got home ... but surely that's the point !!!! I think it's a good idea, and anyone, going anywhere or even staying at home could end up have to stay home for 14 days at the moment.

    Stay safe xx

    Morning.

Chucking it down here. I can see autumn leaves appearing and that always makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

    Dragonfly, what a fantastic activity!

Loocyloo the whole quarantine thing is so tricky isn't it?

I wonder what will be involved in the govt's obesity plan!

I'll be on the phone to PACEY again as soon as they open, trying to get them to sort out my password. Probably need to go to the bank too, but the queues there are always huge, halfway down the street, so I don't quite fancy doing it in the rain.

    Have a good day everyone!

    Morning everyone!

The weekend has gone way too quickly. We had a busy Saturday but Sunday was quiet. It still doesn’t feel like I’ve had a break though.

It’s wet and miserable here today so I’ll be spending it mainly indoors. I’ve decided I want the hallway decorating but that means clearing the big bookcase we’ve got in there. About a year ago I gave it a severe cull and managed to get rid of at least half the books we had. I’m going to have another go and see if I can get rid of any more. These are all children’s books and I know we’re never going to use a lot of them. It’s hard to let them go though!

I need to check with my minded families where they’re going on holiday next month. I know at least one is staying in this country but I know at least one is going abroad. Over the weekend I devised a quick holiday form for them all to complete. It’s very simple - child’s name, date of holiday (travel dates, not just the dates they won’t be with me), destination and signature to say they agree to follow government quarantine rules that are in place at the time. Also that they agree to pay full fees if a child is absent due to being quarantined on their return. Can you think of anything else I should include?

Have good days all and stay dry!

That's sounds like an excellent plan Mouse. I'd get parents to date it as well, then your covered if they say they didn't know quarantine etc was/could be happening.

Luckily, I don't think any of mine are going abroad, BUT, it could happen to any of us in this country too! Actually, as the majority of mine are farmers, they don't usual get away in the summer anyway!

It’s been poring here today. The 2 siblings I had today hurt themselves on their trampoline yesterday so didn’t want to do anything. Managed to get them to do Hama beads this morning and some painting after lunch. Then they asked to watch a film so I agreed. I then sat and watched a tutorial on how to crotchet. Hoping to have a go when I have two days off at the end of the week
