Default Mixing minded children with your own

    Good afternoon all,

I wondered what others were doing who also have children of their own in the setting. Are you separating your own children from the minded children at all times, or are you letting them all mix? I have 3 children of my own and 3 returning next week all on the same days, essentially they will ge a bubble of 6 children. If they go to school it's a bubble of 15. Others advice and opinions much appreciated.

    Regards Emma

    Afternoon Emma.

My own children are 15 & 18, so not quite the same as mixing younger ones with minded children. My DS we barely see, my 15 yr old DD will sometimes come and chat or maybe play for a while! Usually just spotted getting food in the kitchen! ( and giving minded children a biscuit! They all think i don't know She knows not to do so just before lunch or tea! )

DD may be heading back to school at some point ... and we may need to take her/pick her up. We'll cross that bridge when it happens.

In your case, I think i would have a bubble of 6 and go from there. It would be hard to seperate them, and you would, in theory, need to base yourself with one group or the other. Just plenty of hand washing and keeping things clean as you go.

Hugs, it's a tricky one. xxx

Thankyou, that's what I was thinking, I just cant split myself between two seperate groups of children and meet all their needs at the same time. Its tricky times with what's right and wrong. Thanks for your advice and support.
    Emma
