    Default COC with an assistant

Hi fellow minders. Can anyone please advice me as to whether or not the same rule applies regards COC for siblings when working with an assistant?

So if we have 6 children between us during the day, then a parent of one of those children wants their younger child to join us can we have 7 between us?

    Thanks
    Linda

The childminder can go over ratio for a variation / continuity of care... the assistant needs to stay in ratio.

The childminder is likely to need planning permission - this needs to be checked locally.

Floor space needs to be carefully measured as well.

Guidance on both these in free downloads - Free Downloads.

    I hope that helps
