    Default 3/4 year funding ?

Hi I have a parent choose child starts funding after Easter, at the moment I do funding to other families term time.
This parent has asked about holiday funding , he also goes to a pre school I'm assuming will will be sharing funding as he is only with me 4/6 days a month. Some weeks one day some 2 have had an odd week with 0 days

hasn't funding got to be used weekly and not carried forward to another week?

Unless she has banked hours are less flexible for when she wants?

And if she had stretched funding what happens for my holidays or their holidays

Can you do banked or stretched hours if your sharing hours with another setting?

Anyone make this clear for me please
    Thanks

Your LA will tell you how much funding each child gets during the Term. This term, January through to March, my eyfs children get 180 hours each. You can either do 15 hours a week or stretch it to cover holidays but both scenarios will add up to 180 hours. Can the parent 'guarantee' you a set number of hours a month/term so you know where you stand? I share all eligible eyfs children with a preschool and always contact them at the start of every term to agree of the amount of funded hours we are each going to apply for so there are is no overlap to rectify later.

I suspect this may be another area where local rules vary, so contact your LA for advice.

I had quite a row with my LA over this. They are very keen on the "stretched offer" model, claiming it is best for parents. Sounds great, but they won't pay for holidays, and each provider has to do wholly term time or wholly stretched offer. I have several parents who work in education who would lose a chunk of their entitlement under stretched offer.
