    Default Sending invoices out?

Just wondered how soon you invoice patents every month (or 4 weekly)? I'm concerned too early looks a bit money grabbing and they may forget because it's too early but too late doesn't give them enough chance to get the money together or they're busy and then it spills into a late payment...any thoughts?
    Thanks :-)

I send mine out at least 7 days before payment is due but usually 8-10 days. I state at the bottom payment is due before care commences on first date child attends in the period.

Invoices are payable by the last working day of the month for the following month so I will invoice today and latest payment will be due next Fri which is the 29th. I usually give at least a week's notice so they can arrange things.

I usually invoice around the 18-20th of the month, for payment by the 1st of the following month, for the following months care.

It will also depend on how your business is set up...when your business Direct Debits have to be covered and paid for without leaving you in overdraft....including covering your mortgage.

The best way to tell parents is to have a clear written statement on how you invoice them...when...and when you need that money in your account
Remember that late payments will have an effect on our financial status and 'credit status'...explain that very clearly to parents and make sure they follow the Terms and Conditions they have agreed on your contract.
