    Default Rising fives quick question

Is a 4 year old classed as a rising five only when they are actually attending school 9-3? Or from 1 September when they are doing half days in reception?

Round here children do half days for 6 weeks and I will have one starting reception & a new under five from the end of September

    Thanks
