    Default Books on Adoption

    Hi

I have a LO in my care who is adopted and her parents are keen for her to at least understand or be familiar with the concept at this stage (18 months) does anyone have any recommendations on books or resources that would help feed it in.

    Many thanks,

    Sam

I have a lovely book Motherbridge of Love (barefoot books) which is primarily about Chinese adoption but does translate well to any adoption based on a poem. Beautiful illustrations. Review here Motherbridge of Love A Children's Adoption Book Review

My New Family: A First Look at Adoption (First Look at Books (Paperback)) : Paperback : Pat Thomas, Leslie Harker, Lesley Harker : 9780764124617 - My new Family (a first look at adoption)

May be a bit much for 18 months though

Loads more here Book search for adoption - page 1 - at The Book Depository

The Teazles' Baby Bunny: Amazon.co.uk: Susan Bagnall, Tommaso Levente Tami: 9781905664498: Books
