    Default Am I being unreasonable?

I have one LO who comes at 7.30 in the morning, that's my earliest arrival. Lo not the easiest of children and chalk and cheese to my own son. Now I have always been extremely flexible with this parent and mum has just text asking if can start 10 mins earlier from now on, actually I am not keen as my own son is 11 and needs time to come round and likes to be ready before anyone arrives and we all know that 10 minutes is a long time in the morning. The contract is currently for 3 mornings a week and termtime only, she cant go elsewhere as there is a lack of minders are our school

Am I unreasonable to say no, or would you just do it for the next three weeks and see how it goes....help please xx

Could you keep him busy with breakfast and then table activity until you older son leaves. Mornings can be so stressful can't they.

    No your not.

I have had a similar situation two weeks ago. I only have child before and after school two days a week. I was asked could I have from 7am instead of 7.30. I have said no. I did offer to meet half way at 7.15 as child is 9 years old and very good. But mum has given notice. I know the other three minders and only one of them would be ok for 7am start and she is full. I am wondering if she is going to get in contact with me again come September when she realises that no one can do 7am. I'm just not prepared to do it.

This is also the only child I take to school in the morning, and impacts on another parent having to get here earlier so we can leave in time. The parent is one who would get her last penny worth, I have changed the contract so many times to accommodate her needs, I just feel I will be cross if I do it again

NO!!!! Do what suites you, your business, your life. I am so fed up of being about by parents who don't give you a second thought but expect you to run your life around them. yes, i've had it all this week!!!

Actually Koala, I have written a text and not pressed send, going to do it now. This mum collected for another one last Friday and the usual mum usually collects 10 minutes early on a Friday, but the stand in collector stood outside my house texting until 5.30 on the dot.

    Hope you are ok xx

Oh I am so with you this week. I am this close to giving notice because I am fed up with being taken for a mug by one lot of parents. I'm at the stage now where I really don't care who I offend, my buttons have been pushed too many times now . You have my sympathies.

    xxx

That takes the biscuit but i'm not surprised.

Thanks for your concern, you are kind, I am ok and I just take it as it comes now, it comes with the territory but it doesn't stop me moaning about it. Some people have no common decency never mind common consideration.
