Default Short Notice enquiry what would you do?

I've had an email from a parent wanting childcare on extremely short notice - TOMORROW! It is a 7 year old just moved from Germany so no school place as yet just for a few days? Would any of you even consider this? I'm usually very organised and the thought of this scares me a little but I actually would have availability. Advice please xx

Yes go for it if you get payment upfront!!! Make sure you have all paperwork signed so you are covered and then ball is in your court!!

I think as I'm so new and finding my feet I ll leave it in the hope that someone will help this lady out. I get the feeling she may have sent the email to lots of childminders in hope someone can help.

I would do it if it would fit in. Sounds like it could be fun.

I would do my own temporary contract ...
    Child's name dob
    Parents name
    Address
    Contact details
    Email etc
Dr info ... or at least local surgery.
    Any medical details
    Emergency contact details

Permission to travel in my car, take photos and seek medical treatment ( I know we don't have to have this but I like to have it )

Hours and days contracted and fee ( payable in advance )

Both sign and give mum a copy.

I would also try to find out in advance anything the child likes to do.

Wow good for you, fingers crossed all goes well, I offer emergency care and once had a new child on about an hours notice, she ended up being with me until she went to school a year later

Phew just sat down! What a busy day, but also great fun :-) I've got LO all day till Wed so it's a nice bonus for me. So glad you guys convinced me to go for it as it's been no hassle at all. She loves colouring and crafts so very easy to entertain. I just hope the weather picks up a bit so we can go to the park tomorrow :-)

Thank you, yawning my head off now! Think I ll have an early night in prep for another busy day. Quick question, does anyone have an opinion on Hamma beads? Been looking at them seem to have good reviews.

Hama beads are great - perfect for a craft-loving 7 year old, I'd say!
