Lazy day activities
We're all feeling a little under the weather today. Not enough to warrant closing or sending children home, but we've either got colds or have had bad nights.
Any good ideas for lazy day activities that will keep a 2yr old and a 3 1/2yr old entertained for more than five minutes? If that's even possible!
Thanks!

Make playdough? Different colours - very quick to do and kids love it.
Easter cards
Or just a indoor toy day - dont feel bad having a lazy day - you cant plan things every single hour of the day hon xxx

Lol, I know. Just feeling bad because I'm probably feeling the most tired and rough!
Also, lacking inspiration... Easter cards; what a good idea!
Thank you :-)

block play - wooden blocks with cars etc interspersed - usually keeps them busy for hours - add different sized boxes for filling up - with lids.
a play tent with cushions and books and sensory stuff inside
an indoor water tray /bowl with jugs and pourers - will usually keep them busy for ages (just pop a plastic sheet on the floor or a big towel.
and playdoh - give them cake cases or cake tins and they'll play for hours.
if you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got

She called last week to check I was minding (registered last year - first inspection) and how many children I cared for, so I knew it was imminent!
Honestly, I'm in a state of shock! Need to calm down! Lucky I've just put the children to bed to I can calm down with some lunch!
I think it went well, she was absolutely lovely!

I can't believe my luck! I still can't believe that on a day like today, she turns up!
It was a baseline inspection, as it's my first one. She checked my paperwork, asked various questions (nothing too taxing) and just watched me interact with the children (one of which is my son and was being a total rotter today!)
She turned up about 9.45am and stayed until they'd just finished lunch, about 12.20pm. It did fly by though.
I've got a few recommendations but nothing too bad. She said I did good! We don't have gradings in Wales.
Wine is out! It's a horrible bottle though, very disappointing!!

Well done. Isn't it just typical that they turn up when you are not feeling 100%.
