*** Why do I need a Daily Diary ***
All early years providers including childminders recognise the importance of working in close partnership with parents and have developed a variety of different ways of achieving this. Diaries, written through the day and sent home for parents to read, encourage partnership working and support childminders to show evidence of sharing children’s learning with their family.
Diaries can also be used to support children’s home learning by providing ideas about activities children might like to do with their parents and they encourage parents to provide feedback about their child’s learning and interests at home.
Diaries can be written very quickly – some quick parent handover comments, a few positive observations about what the child has done through the day and some care notes – job done!
We have lots more online guides and documentation for childminders in the Childminding Guides section of the Childcare.co.uk website at https://www.childcare.co.uk/informat...ildminder-plus

It is in the latest version of Microsoft Word VeggieSausage - do you need an older version do you think? Or maybe update Open Office?
