Ive put this in training and courses section but thought might get more reply here....
Ive had my certificate through finally for passing unit 1
now it says on it CACHE level 3 diploma in homebased childcare- i want to apply for job at nursery as minding is slow at mo, it said must have childcare level 3 qualification, is this it?

I will keep minding aswell as when i got kids i love it.

You have to pass all 5 units of the DHC for it to be classed as a level 3 qualification.

The homebased childcare qualification only qualifies you for childminding.

If you want a level 3 for nursery work, you need to look at nvq3 early years, childcare and education instead.

I would ask your local training people, see what they are funding at the moment
