it stinks!!!!!!!
I look after two children, brothers age 8 an 9 years, both boys feet smell really bad!!!! So much so I have had to use the carpet clearer twice since Christmas as carpets r left with the smell from there socks,
Boys never seem to change their socks, during the summer holidays I noticed one of the boys came with one football sock rolled down an one school sock, on the 2nd day I noticed he still had them one, an hoped they would be changed for the 3rd day, that day came still had the same socks on that looked like they hadn't been even taken off for bed as they where still on the same feet, so on pick up I mentioned to mum that he hasn't changed his socks in 3 days just incase he was been given them by mum but not changing them, she did say she had given him clean ones, day 4 still had same socks, so I mention it again, day 5 still same socks!!!! What more can I do other than clean feet an change socks myself!
They have been her ten mins an my living room stinks of sweaty feet really bad!!
Advice please on how to tell mum that they need to have clean socks every day!!!!

My ds is the same! He is 11! He never takes his socks off and if he does... would put the same ones back on.
Think it's really down to mum ... we remove ds socks at bedtime if he hasn't and again in the morning! We've been doing this for the past 2 years plus! He is getting better ... a bit!
Maybe you could ask mum for a bag of socks to keep at yours and they change when they arrive? Not ideal I know but can't think how else to deal with it as it's something that needs dealing with at home. Could you do a theme on being healthy/clean etc and growing up with the older mindees?

If mum won't get them to change their socks, would it be worth asking for them to be given slippers to wear at your house? I know it won't solve the problem, but it might at least save your carpets a bit.

Yeah tried that one waited for ages for slipper then they got sent with croc's which where to small an not ideal for children to play in.

I'd ask for clean socks too and insist they change them. Different people have different priorities

Could you maybe ask them to hold their feet up so you can spray febreeze on bottom of their socks?

In that case I'd be tempted to buy some cheap slippers for them. You shouldn't have to, but it'll probably work out cheaper and easier than using the carpet cleaner so much.
