It looks great but I don't have a window low enough for little ones to reach.

Maybe hubby would install patio doors for me

I have found a place in Dublin which does it it's a hardware place it is used for covering shelves? A one metre roll is 3.99 but a 15m roll is 37.99 so maybe the rolls on amazon are 15m?

I got excited about this - yes totally - then realised that with 2 hairy dogs in the house it could go a bit pear shaped??? Dogs stuck to tree, or end up with a very hairy tree so on reflection I am totally not going to do it (that and the fact green contact paper is £34 on Amazon uk).

Yes I thought I might do it until I looked on the UK Amazon site and saw how expensive it was. Much much cheaper in the US obviously.

If you have the patience, and time, I made a big stain glass window Xmas tree. It looks really lovely! It's a little harder with under 3s to do though, you have to be very gentle sticking baubles on as it can tear, but it is pretty!

You don't need to use green , just use clear.
cut a xmas tree shape out of normal green card , paper , whatever you have. then put the clear sticky back over the top. The only difference is youll have to tape it to the window / blue tac it to the wall . certainly better than hunting and spending lots on the green version!

Ok so we made a mini version of this today kids enjoyed a lot! You can make an shape star bell etc we made trees. Just cut out two same size pieces of clear contact paper, draw the shape you want in permanent marker on one piece and give kids bits to decorate with, mine went glitter mad! Think I will have to Hoover Los as well as floor! Then when done peel off and stick second piece to it and attach to first piece then cut out to shape.

Tips.. Cello tape piece kids working on to table to stop them getting it all stuck to itself, found out hard way! In one I put a piece of green paper in thinking it would be like the one in original thread but it doesn't then allow contact to stick at sides so I had to go around and cellotape the edges all around tree., however it's stronger than the others now. Attach ribbon if you want it for tree decoration and voila!
