    Default Lots of Dirty Nappies

Can I ask how many dirty nappies you would have before sending home? I have a lo who arrived at 11.30, mum said has cold but in the last hour I have had 3 dirty, pretty loose nappies which is definitely not normal for her, normally only 1 throughout whole day.

HOME TIME - 3 loose nappies in an hour = diarrhea

Good luck and hope you don't catch it.

Depends on how the child is, how old or maybe you were just a bit too quick in the changes (perhaps hadn't finished what was started!) I know that one of my littlies is cutting a couple of teeth at the mo and 2 wks ago they produced 6 soiled( and a little loose) nappies, a couple of which I can 'blame' on me being too quick off the mark to change. So its really down to - do they look / behave as if they are ' off colour, are they eating/drinking and engaging in all the normal routines? Sorry not much help really as its hard to say without knowing and seeing the child xx

Yes but both parents are at work but neither have given me their work numbers! Guess I'll just have to wait for collection and then inform non attendance for 48 hours due to diarrhea xx

Mum hadnt started work when she booked in and said she would give me work numbers when she did - still waiting! They have recently moved to the area so dont have any other contacts and the switchboard for the company mum works for is saying currently unavailable! - I feel doomed!!!

It is definately an opportunity for you to reflect on your practice and tighten up this part then. I would not be happy only having 2 mobile numbers. You do need work numbers as they don't have any other support locally x

Well turns out mum had written dads mobile number down wrong which is why I couldn't contact him! Someone else however is going to wonder what all the messages are about :-? x

Simply tell her you need these numbers in case of emergency, and you will not mind her child again with out them. It's a requirement to have contactable contact details!! I know that sometimes things just don't seem to work, but to not even have given you her work number is really not okay!
