I think its good. I haven't seen the wee tree yet...lol

Last weeks was good with the two boys who were running Mum ragged and didn't sleep. She was really desperate and I felt really sorry for her

Boys were always told to do a wee in the potty and nanny didn't like it. She said the potty had to go! She was right on that front. However she then said the boys had to get used to weeing standing up so introduced a wee tree in the back garden. The boys were actively encouraged to see in the tree every time they needed a wee and not in the toilet and she praised them to the hills. Now if my child just whipped out his bits and started weeing on a tree in the garden I'd be mortified. It's just disgusting in my eyes and I'm sure Ofsted would have much to say on the matter to no doubt. I appreciate if your out a walk in the fields etc and little ones get caught short then you would allow them to have a wee outside but to actively encourage them to wee in the garden when they has access to a toilet is disgusting. Just my opinion.

I like the program, has there only been 2 so far? I have to agree about the wee tree being gross! What happened to a ping pong ball down the loo??! Is this not going to just be something that needs correcting once they learn? Cav you imagine ofsted a face when we all trapse outside to use the wee tree?

I like some of her principles but most definately not others. I really dislike her encouraging the 'running child' to run so far ahead. As childminders (and as a parent) I'd never do that on a busy road, not for an unpredictable child. I hated watching those 2 poor little ones battling it out in the first one. Children have to learn social skills, they aren't born knowing. We model good/desirable behaviour and gently teach. I found that quite disturbing.
I also hated the wee tree-whats that all about?!
I do understand that the 3 day nanny, like super nanny, is going into desperate families, but the jury is still out here!
