At themoment it is the dressing up box, it took a little while to accumulate all the outfits but all of my children, who range fom 9 years to 16 months love it and play all sorts of games. I try to buy things from the local charity shops so get some great bargains.

Bubblewrap. The children use it to pretend wrap things, stand on for popping, use it for painting (makes amazing pictures!!), make into toy shoes and gloves (the kids love this) and I'm pretty sure I could find lots more uses too!!!

I have a unit of drawers that are full of old cds, old corks, twigs, fir cones, conkers, bark, stones and shells, plastic bottle tops, jam jar lids etc, cardboard tubes, small boxes/packaging, little plastic boxes with buttons/'jewels'/rubber 'bolt' things/polysterine packaging puff things, wooden pegs & lolly sticks, and other miscellaeneas stuff I find/collect!

the children all spend hours using these bits, with on their own or added to small world/tea sets/cars/duplo/roleplay etc.

I also have some other boxes with fabric in, or even more stones/logs etc or some egg boxes etc that I add to extend the play.

DH made me some ribbon sticks, have had them 5+ years and they are still really popular. Piece of doweling, hook and eye attaches the ribbon on, they dance with them, use them as dog leads, use them for marking out the football pitch or areas to play in, skip with them... The list goes on.

Little tikes cube slide and plastic play house my neighbour gave me,

Shakers made with pop bottles and various rice, beans, lentils inside.

Sorry for late reply Ive been away for the weekend and have been really busy since I got back..
I collected loads of small plastic bottles. Each bottle has its own colour so in the red one I put red buttons, sequins, beads glitter, a little ladybird etc..

Some of them dont have any liquid in them as the los like to shake them. The ones with liquid in have baby oil in them and then gold glitter, sequins and so on.

My hubby superglued the lids on with industrial strength glue then wrapped the tops in tape for added safety.
The los love them and theyre dead easy to put together.
    If all else fails......add glitter!
