    Default Play Sand

Where do you all get your sand table/pit sand from when all the shops have decided its Autumn so children don't play outside anymore, so they don't need to stock outdoor play things!!!

    Have been to:
    Tesco
    Mothercare ELC
    ELC in town
    The Range

    None to be found anywhere

I just got some from Tescos last Saturday which was reduced to £1 so stocked up. They were also selling a sand table for £3.75 reduced, shops obviously sell it off at the end of Summer.

Having the same problem with bubble mixture, 2 of my children decided to empty out my stock and wash the toy cars with it, I get mine from tescos which has been good value, but they have stopped selling it. I don't live anywhere near an ELC and have tried making my own, but it never really works.

I am lucky that I know someone who gets it cheap for me from a wholesaler. It only cost me £10 for 250kg and it is proper play sand, plus they delivered it.

    argos sell sand.

( is there anything they don't sell these days?! )

toys r us always used to be good for bubble mixture. if you make your own ( and I haven't for years ) I remember that you need to put glycerine in the water to make it stronger.
