How did it go? Didn't you have any notice of the inspection?

Oh no, so not only have I got to continue not answering my phone, I have to make sure I get out of the house early every morning too!

Gremlin didn't I see a post somewhere saying that Ofsted had been on a day when you didn't have children and they would be returning? But still would have thought they would have phoned you to make sure you did have some yesterday. Hope all went well?

They came when I had not officially started back and said they'd come back again.

I started on the Monday after a years break with new Children and the inspector turned up unannounced.

It was fine tho I just thought I have to do my best all my paperwork was there and I thought that's all I can do and I was graded a good!!!! I was so happy!!!

She was actually very nice and my dog snuck in the sofa behind her and nearly pushed her off the sofa but she didn't mind!

    Xx

Oh my goodness, can't believe they did that to you on your first day back!!! Wonder what the reason behind all these unannounced visits are? Spelling out their authority to us after the uproar about agencies etc? Cramming inspections in before any changes..

I am due my inspection, hope they don't turn up unannounced, best do my SEF this weekend and keep my file handy!

I really don't think its very fair on you or the children you look after to do it on day 1 - also what exactly were they looking at the rapport you have with the children you have had only on that day, how can you show you are following their interests etc etc....it doesn't give you the opportunity to show their progress etc.....you did really well I think and deserve an outstanding just for getting through day 1!!
