    Default Early Arrival

Had to be up for a 5.45 start this morning. One lo's mum is on holiday and dad starts work at 6 so said we will do it. I struggled to get up and lo gets to sleep

Anyone else work this early? I am doing 3 early morning starts for this family and its a one off. Especially as our last child leaves at 6pm.

    I start between 6:30 and 6:45 everyday...some days I'm fine, others I struggle...

I think 5:45 would push me over the edge lol!

Lucky you that its only a one off tho...although I'm my own worst enemy cos I always say yes to the early starters

I do a 6am start 3 days a week, and after the initial shock to the body am used to it now. Down side is at weekends, when my body clock wakes me up when I don't need to be lol

8am for me. I know I couldn't do any earlier it would literally kill me! That being said before I had my son I used to leave at 7.15 to go to work, just couldn't do it now.

LOL! I get up at 5.30am every day so I have enough time to get a shower, have a coffee and do a bit of paperwork before LO's arrive. DH gets up at 7.30am for work and 8am on Fridays. When the weekend gets here I wake up at 7am thinking "WOW! What a lay in!" while DH is still snoring away!

By 7.30am the kids are awake and I am usually trying to tickle DH awake and annoy him until he gets up LOL!!! I tell him he gets a "lay in" everyday of the week... well by my standards it's a lay in LOL!

I did 5.30am starts for nearly 2 years and once I got used to it I quite liked it. Parent paid double 5.30-7.30am so it was financially worth it and lo went at 3, my others leaving by 3.30pm. Still prefer early starts and early finishes. Would do 5.30am again no problem, only downside is by 9pm I need my bed

Have only done one 6 am start when a parent needed to catch a train for a meeting - she had said 6.30 am, so I set my alarm for 6, but she turned up just past as she was worried she would miss the train - I was still in my nightie, she said don't worry just take him back up to bed with you, I said I can't do that my husband is still in bed - she said I don't mind if he doesn't - I said Ofsted would though!

I generally get up at 6.15, hoover the house, get out some toys and activities and 3 mornings a week I am in local swimming pool by 7, get out at 7.30, get home dry hair and have breakfast and mindees come at 8 - bit of a rush but sets me up for the day.

I usually start between 7 and half past.....but now that my schoolies are away for three weeks, means I don't start until 10 - unless one of the mum's is on an early - looking forward to all the extra time in bed xxx

My earliest start was 7.20. Due to parent being on maternity leave my earliest is now 8.30.

Dont think I could start any earlier than 7am, last one doesnt leave till nearly 6pm, it's a long day without a proper break

I have one arriving at 5.30 several times per week. I've done this early start for a couple of years now. The LO goes straight to sleep on the sofa with a blanket..... And he's still asleep now! Bless him!

Blimey you're all so good. The earliest start I have is 7.45 and that's a struggle. It's not that I'm not up, I get up at 6 but I need an hour to get myself ready, that includes 10mins coming round with a cup of tea then shower, hair wash, dry, make-up etc. Then I have to get the house ready, sweeping the kitchen floor, mopping, making sure the toy room is ready etc. Feeding the dog / cats. I was once asked for 7am start, only as a one-off, I nearly died on the spot . It's worse in the winter, I just can't get up in the dark.

During term time I have a LO who starts at 7am but as I always manage to wake up at 5.30 it doesnt really bother me. The only issue is OH who is really grumpy if he gets woken up before 8 am.

DS also seems to have it in his head that 7am is morning so comes and announces that its 7.02 or whatever at the top of his voice lol x

day 2 and again she is fast asleep on the sofa. Going to get the online shop done and lunches sorted for family. Tomorrow my co minder is going to do the early start . I found yesterday a very long day and even though I tried to get a early night I still didn't get to sleep till after 11.
