    Default So sad and overwhelmed

I know we all like a little moan about parents, but mine have all been wonderful. I said goodbye to a family today, 2 sisters, had one from when she was one till she started at mums school (she is a teacher) and big sister last day with me today as she starts senior school in sept. They came today with the most precious and generous gift, and some wonderful words in a card. I feel so emotional and overwhelmed. I have become particularly close to this family and I know we will stay in touch, but as mum said its the end of an era. There were lots of tears and hugs at my house this morning. Here is a pic, I know I will think of them every time I wear it.

We really do become so attached to some families & it's hard when they leave.

It sounds as if they'll miss you every bit as much as you'll miss them

One of my mum's used the phrase 'end of an era' too recently. Made me cry!!

Good that you will still be in touch. Sounds like you did a fantastic job and the family really appreciates all your hard work.

    Well done you!!

That's beautiful how lovely to hear a story of appreciative parents for a change, enjoy wearing your necklace - a special gift for a special childminder.

I feel the same. First time I've said goodbye to family ice been close to. Family with 2 siblings. Going to miss them. Mum got me such lovely gifts and card with such special messages in, each child had written me card (5 and 9 y/o)
Been feeling emotional. Did not like the goodbye bit when there is a bond there...
