Default My hens are not laying!

    Anyone any idea why?

One has started up again but the other two have stopped. They get plenty of shade and free time out in the garden .

I had a two week holiday and came back to find this situ. Hubby says he hasn't been giving them quite as much extra tidbits as I do but they have a lot of basic mash (is half a cup each enough?)

We've had good laying for six weeks prior to this ...
    Any advice much appreciated xxx

It's molting time! They stop laying for a few weeks around this time of year. Just be prepared for lots of feathers on the ground as well. They should start up again mid/late August

Food - the more you feed the more they lay x I have 10 chooks and my oldest being 3.5yrs now still lays really well they get 2 feeders full of layer pellets a day, plus scraps and left overs, and at the weekend they get the whole garden x
