Today's the day for my Healthy Early Years Settings Award inspection!! So by 4pm I might either have a shiny gold plaque for my wall or be very disappointed!!

Hooray!!! I got it!!! Only the 10th setting (and 2nd childminder) to be awarded it!! The inspector said my portfolio was the best she had seen and asked to take it away with her to show to the whole of the Devon early Years team! After being here for 30 minutes she asked me whether I'd be interested in becoming an associate employee and helping them run training and workshops at conferences! She was very excited about demonstrating to other settings how highly good quality childminders were thought of - so much so that they were worthy of deliver training to nurseries, pre schools and day care providers! She told me I would def get the award after reading only a fifth of my portfolio - she said she could feel the ethos and see the high standards to which I work!

I'm soooooo excited! I've waited for ages to get out into the world of supporting other practitioners and spreading my enthusiasm and now it looks like it might actually happen!!!!
