    Default Mindees weeing in carseats

3 of my mindees have all started potty training at the same time a little hard but never the less I always take a potty with us just encase u never know when they want to go. But I was just wondering what other people do to protect their carseats. So far this week I've washed the same seat twice and we haven't been in the car yet today. I always put them on potty before we leave the house but 1 of them always seems to wee in the car.

Not a lot you can do to stop it but I put an opened nappy under the cover of the car seat to protect the car, because its easy to wash the covers not so easy to wash the car

It is a pain and I cross my fingers getting into the car with my potty trainers every time! You could sit them on a towel for a while in the seat until they can be trusted. I've had one today who's weed all over my sofa (luckily it's leather) and then 5 mins later all over my rug! So annoying when the majority of the floor is laminate but they managed to get it all over the rug!

If they consistantly wee in the carseat it would be a pull up for car journeys until more reliable.

No way I'm washing carseat covers every week.

Could you try some bed mats (not sure if you might be able to cut them?) or puppy training mats?

A plastic carrier bag under their bums, that's what I've always used even for my own children, costs nothing

I got given a washable car seat shaped pad to use, just bung it in the wash or the pampers thingies cut in half?

I cut up an old waterproof bed protector into squares and use those. They have a plastic layer on the bottom with terry cloth on the top. They are nice and small when folded so I can store them easily in the car.

Me too! I use old fashioned nappies on top of carrier bags - found these slightly better than piddle pads, as less 'slidey' in the seat.

I put a nappy on top of their pants so if they do wet they feel wet but it saves my car seat or pushchair from getting soaked!

The only use as far as I am concerned is over pants when in a car or buggy.
