    Default Getting a new kitten

We are getting a new kitten at the end of the month, how should I go about telling parents? Should I just tell them verbally when chatting with them or should I write a more formal letter detailing how I will keep the child safe from the kitten?

We already have a cat, so all my families are happy for their child to be around cats and no one is allergic etc..

I think it would be more a case of keeping the kitten safe from the children!
I'd just mention it in conversation as you already have a cat.

we got kittens last year and i had a child terrified of cats and dogs so we did a lot of prep work with her and parents. I did a risk assessment to protect little ones in case they poked and prodded and got scratched, to make sure child who was afraid would not be prevented from roaming freely as before and to protect kitten.

I shared the risk assessment with parents before kittens arrived.

if you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got

I do a monthly newsletter so would mention it in that. You could talk about it with the children then say that you talked about it in their diary. I would mention it verbally to parents too.
