    Default Vehicle/car emergency/daily kit

I'm new so sorry if this is a repeat, I'm just getting my head around the forum and couldn't find this question answered anywhere, so here goes...

I've been advised to put together a 'kit' to go in the car in case we use it to go anywhere. This sounds like a great idea but I can't remember what the person who suggested it included. IDs of the children and me, any medical requirements, nappies, wipes, drinks and the usual, torch and blanket and a first aid kit... Anything else I need?
I keep my car phone charger in there too and a toy/game, in case we break down or they need to be occupied. So I guess break down cover details too, or local garage details. I'm sure they had some good ideas but can't remember!

I should carry all this stuff but I don't except my first aid kit, naughty me! Must get organised. How about small fire extinguisher, blanket and sun cream?
