Default Ratios for own child's birthday

Probably a silly question but my youngest DS is having a little birthday party after pre-school & although it's my day off, one of the children is a child I look after (on another day). Am I right in thinking because I'm not working & mindee is coming as a friend I don't have to worry about my numbers?

No you don't need to worry about numbers as you are not childminding. Hope little one has a good party!

Yes it's only if you are receiving financial gain are you classed as childminding. I think sometimes we forget we can just be parents. If we did a job other than childminding that thought wouldn't have even entered your head!

No unless there is another adult there such as his parent or your partner who can have complete responsibility for the friend.
I am quite relieved that 2 of my children are now mostly friends with over 8s, kind of feel like i am wishing their lives away but it does make life so much easier
