Planning permission
Hi just wondering if anyone has gone through the planning permission process and could give me some info re cost and process x

It depends on your Local Authority. Here it costs £350, takes around 3 months and is not guaranteed. They write to your neighbours to ask them about the impact your business has on their lives and you have a long form to complete asking about cars, noise etc.

Depends on what u want to build. A conservatory up to 4m deep from the house doesn't need any. I know that much coz hubby has said I can have one! Yeeeep!!!

Well I live on a very busy street as its a cul de sac with a school at the top so the traffic create is no more than would be here anyway x

Sarah do you think it's worth doing ? X

It wasn't for me because I don't want my neighbours having a say in my business - but your circumstances might be totally different x

Im confused by this planning permission as I have rang my local council in Liverpool and have been told that for another childminder to work in my house I dont need planning permission as I am not changing anything within the household or adding anything on. Everyone else seems to think I do though so Im worried about when Ofsted come

It varies from one council to another if yours says you are ok then don't worry about it

Ok thanks. I might ask them to write a letter to confirm this to cover my back though.
