    Default challenging gender stereotypes

Has anyone got any ideas, activities or resources that specifically deal with challenging gender stereotypes? I have a 4 year old who is adament that pink is for girls and wass most distressed thatt I put my 12 month old boy in a pink bib today. We have also had some interesting discussions about jobs and what she thinks girls can and cant do.
Time to get my Babbette Cole books out!

People who help us pictures - male midwives, female firefighters etc.

Look back at Victorian times when pink was for boys and blue for girls.

Do you know any men who wear pink shirts? Maybe go for a walk round M & S clothing department

I like the shopping idea to. Or you could do what my mum did and give everyone strawberry ice cream but not my brother because he's a boy and pinks for girls . 20 years on and he wears pink more than me also dressed his son in pink loads.

    Might be a bit mean.

There are a lot of pink tshirts in mens M&S at the moment .....
Your local library should have a few books featuring men & woman having interesting jobs that will challenge stereotypical ideas
