1st day back at work - wish me luck :)

Well after being off for 8 months it is my 1st day back at work today!!! As some of you will remember I have been having treatment for breast cancer. All treatment now finished

and I see the Consultant again at the end of June. So I have decided to go back to work before I see her.

Only 1 mindee today and she isn't coming till lunch time, so an easy start. I have had 2 schoolies who are not coming back as they are related and family have been covering while I have been off, and they have decided to carry on with that arrangement. Sad in one way, but at least I don't start till 8 am now instead of 7.15

Panicking a bit as the revised EYFS has come in while I have been off, so I need to get up to speed with that, especially as I am due an inspection as some point (last one April 2009)

Busy getting posters back up, labels back on toy boxes etc. I'm worn out before I start

Glad you've got through all the treatment. I m starting work again soon it's exciting getting ready isn't it. Hope it goes well.

Thanks everyone, raced round like a mad thing this morning, getting last few bits and pieces ready. Now just waiting for mindee to arrive any minute!! Had a text from her mum this morning to say she was up at 6 jumping about shouting "going to Carolyn's today yay"!!! Bless her, hope she's as happy when she gets here

So glad you have finished all your treatment - I can't believe it is 8 months since you gave up. Don't over do things and make sure you do lots of stories so you can put your feet up.
