Default ad hoc care and contracts

Hi all, i have a child who comes to me every now and then when his mum needs it if i have a space, say once or twice a month.Sometimes it can be a couple of months between having him. What paperwork do i need, i haven't got a contract just a child record form. Do i still need to do observations and eyfs etc ? He doesnt go anywhere else. Thanks.

I have two contracts just for teacher training and snow days they are both over 5 years and I do not do any planning, observations etc just all permission forms, contracts and child record forms.
Children are born with wings we help them to fly.
