Songs for older children
Hi.
I have a child, who is 4 who likes singing. He isn't into the radio, so no pop / rock songs, although he loves the Bare Necessities.
I am trying to think of some songs that are more complex than simple nursery rhymes to teach him.
Unfortunately, all I can think about is :
All things bright and beautiful
Pack up your troubles in an old kit bag, (but have since discovered the lyrics weren't quite what I thought they were (makes references to cigarettes).
Can you think of any that you may have sung when you were younger, or sung on holiday / camping trips.
Many thanks in advance

My Bonnie lies over the ocean
Quarter masters stores (fun as it's the child's name)
She'll be coming round the mountain.
Que sera sera

The kids love them all, we have them on quietly in the background at lunch time or when painting and then louder when have out instruments for singing and dancing.
