Childcare whilst on courses?

Hi all!

Just a quickie - As a single parent, I don't have anyone to look after my own daughter while I attend courses, so am looking at childcare options. I expect this will be quite costly by the hour as it's for saturdays. Does anyone know if tax credits will help towards childcare costs for childminders?

Not sure they pay for "ad hoc" as you require it and as its for training makes it slightly different to paying for you to go to work.

You will be able to put any costs through your accounts though

This may not be what your looking for but how about e learning at home with webiner NCMA sell a selection of courses, you need a computer and internet connection but you don't have to leave the house so no baby sitter fee to find

Might be worth posting your location on here and see if any members can help out.

I've done ad hoc/emergency care at weekends, including help for another CM. Someone else might be able to help.
