What do you have planned for now and the time leading up to Christmas
Sorry I said the ''C'' word lol
The kiddies before half term have started to talk about Christmas and what are we going to be doing ''Ali''
I have only after schoolers so time is limited a bit in the evenings but have my planner all ready and a lot of the crafts already cut out.
Tonight we make a start on our calendars. Then we are going to make / do up until we finish on 20th Dec Lanterns, crackers, angels, party hats, Hamma bead designs for the tree, cards, cube to hang on the tree with a photo in,christmas wreath with holly, bell made out of a yogurt pot, shrink paper gingerbread man, paper chains, another wreath but small made with bells and a pipe cleaner and a polystrene ball decorated with plastic pins.
Think that will do for now

Don't forget about topics like Remembrance next weekend and Diwali and Hanukkah especially with school age children.
Remembrance Day 2012 - Poppy Day
DIWALI 2012 - Indian Festival of Lights
What Is Hanukkah - About Chanukkah
In fact here is a web site with special days for the whole year that might be helpful for planning

Just ordered some calendar blanks so trying to think of a good simple idea that the Lo's can have some input in rather than just a photo. Might do handprints and let them go mad with the glitter!
Also tree decorations, making some glass painted jars for Diwali, paper plate poppies and any other ideas I can pinch off this thread!

Like RS, we have been doing Bonfire Night and Remembrance Sunday this week, then Diwali and Children in need next week. Last week in November is Road Safety Week (I think). So we won't start Christmas crafts until the first week in December, but I do know what you mean about running out of time to get everything finished.
Miffy xx
Keep smiling!

I've got 24 bauble shapes for them to decorate. These will hang up and act as a advent calender, removing one each day. 3d decoration shapes to decorate, Xmas tree pine cones. We are also make a large cardboard tree and making decoration to put on it. Hopefully this will keep them away from my own one! Snow shakers, cards and lots of glitter and sticking. All after poppy day and diwali. My daughter is drawing portraits for the newbies as a special gift from me. These have gone down well in the past.
